In short
- No cookies and no advertising trackers. We count visits on our own server, without identifying you.
- We use what you send us to answer your inquiry, and basic server logs to keep the website secure.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to contact@orpitek.com. We reply within 30 days.
Who we are
Orpitek Global FZ-LLC (RAKEZ Licence No. 47030198, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates) operates orpitek.com and is responsible, as controller, for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about this policy or your data go to contact@orpitek.com.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us and what our web server records.
- Contact form: your name, work email and message, and, if you choose to give them, your company, phone number and the topic of your inquiry. We also record that you ticked the consent box and the date and time you sent the form.
- Email and WhatsApp: your name, email address or phone number, and what you write to us.
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Our web server records these to run and protect the website.
- Visit statistics: which pages are viewed, the referring website, the browser and device type, and the country, estimated from your IP address. Our own analytics server (Umami, hosted with the website in Germany) counts visits without cookies and without storing your IP address, and it does not follow you across other websites. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, it does not count your visit.
What we do not collect
This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Visit statistics are counted on our own server, never shared with analytics or advertising companies, and are not used to identify you.
Why we use it
We use your data to answer your inquiry, to prepare and discuss a proposal you asked for, to keep a record of our correspondence, and to keep the website secure. We do not add you to a mailing list, do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Legal basis
We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) where it applies, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies to you. We rely on these grounds:
- Steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, to answer your inquiry and prepare a proposal.
- Your consent, which you give on the contact form and can withdraw at any time.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working, for server logs, and in understanding which pages are useful, for cookieless visit statistics.
- Compliance with legal obligations, for records the law requires us to keep.
Who receives it
We share personal data only with the providers that run our services, and with public authorities when the law requires it. These providers act on our instructions.
- Our email hosting provider (server.ae, United Arab Emirates), which delivers form submissions and email to contact@orpitek.com.
- Our web hosting provider (Germany, European Union), which runs the server that hosts the website, receives form submissions, stores a copy of each one and keeps server logs.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Transfers between countries
Our website server is in Germany (European Union), so form submissions and server logs are stored there. Email is handled by our email hosting provider in the United Arab Emirates. WhatsApp messages may be processed by Meta in other countries, including the United States. Where personal data moves between countries, we take the steps the applicable law requires, such as contractual safeguards with our providers. You can ask us for more information at contact@orpitek.com.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not lead to a project, including the copies in our mailbox and on our web server and related WhatsApp chats, are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Data needed for a contract is kept for as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a specific security incident.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, to limit how we use it or to stop using it, or to give it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect what we did before. Write to contact@orpitek.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the competent data protection authority, such as the UAE Data Office, or the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection. Access to inquiries and server logs is limited to the people who need it for their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data. Our Security page describes how we protect client data in projects. It does not cover this website.
Children
This website is for businesses and public sector organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to contact@orpitek.com and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our products, Dubai School Atlas and Oil Market AI, and other websites we link to are run separately and have their own privacy policies. This policy does not cover them.
Changes
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The Last updated date on this page shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already sent us, we will tell you by email before it applies.
